2024 Certified Municipal Clerk and Finance Officer Association (CCMFOA) Rookie of the Year Recipient Announced

The Certified Municipal Clerk and Finance Officer Association (CCMFOA) is pleased to announce Alexandria Clower, City Clerk for the City of Edgerton, Kansas, as the recipient of the Rookie of the Year award.

The Rookie of the Year award recognizes new municipal clerks and finance officers who have demonstrated outstanding performance and dedication to their communities. This year’s winner, Alexandria Clower, has been a dedicated member of the City of Edgerton Team since December 2018 and has quickly made a positive impact on her community. Alex was promoted to City Clerk in 2020.

Alex is described by those that know her as always having the best attitude, putting her residents first, and leading by example to make the city an inviting place for the community.

Alex led the City’s efforts to create a formal retention policy and digitize their City records, she implemented new Court software and made improvements to their processes. Her passion for local government is described by her administrator as an excellent example to others.

The CCMFOA Rookie of the Year award was established to recognize the contributions of new municipal clerks and finance officers who have demonstrated exceptional dedication to their communities. The award is open to municipal clerks and finance officers who have been in their roles for less than five years.
